Real Madrid are reportedly among the clubs keenly interested in signing Chilean wonderkid Dario Osorio.

According to the print edition of Corriere dello Sport, as relayed by Defensa Central, Real Madrid have set their sights on 18-year-old Chilean prodigy Dario Osorio, who is also on the radars of clubs in England and Italy.

Osorio came through the ranks at Universidad de Chile and broke into their first-team setup in February earlier this year. And the teenage forward has made a solid impression in a very short time, bagging four goals in 15 matches. The youngster earned his first cap for the Chilean national team last season under former Sevilla manager Eduardo Berrizo. 

A versatile attacker, Osorio can anywhere across the frontline but has mostly been used on the left flank by Universidad de Chile so far. And his performances in the short period during his first-team career have attracted the interest of clubs from Europe. 

Indeed, Sevilla, Wolves, Manchester City, Sassuolo, and Udinese have all cast their eyes towards Dario Osorio, with Real Madrid also believed to be an interested party in the 18-year-old’s services.

Real Madrid are building a robust youth setup as president Florentino Perez wishes to build superstars for the future within the club. It has seen Los Blancos recruit heavily for their youth and reserve teams in the past few transfer windows.

Several exciting young talents, such as Bryan Bugarin, Noel Lopez, and Alvaro Leiva, among others, while Real Madrid continue to be on the lookout for special prospects across the globe. Brazilian prodigy Matheus Nascimento is among the players Real Madrid are looking at, along with Samed Bazdar, and Osorio is another player to have emerged on their radars.

Wolves are said to be pushing hard for Osorio’s signing, with the report claiming that they have already tabled an offer worth €5 million. So, Real Madrid will have to act swiftly if they are serious about getting their hands on the Chilean international this summer. The 18-year-old is held in high regard within his country and could soon make his way to Europe. Whether it is to Real Madrid or a different club remains to be seen.
