West Ham are hoping to complete a season-long loan deal for Chelsea forward Armando Broja.

According to Daily Mail, West Ham United are interested in the services of Armando Broja. It is a long-established fact that the Chelsea forward is a top target for David Moyes, who is determined to add more reinforcements in the goalscoring unit ahead of the new season.

West Ham were initially keen on signing Broja on a permanent deal this summer, but it appears Chelsea are not yet prepared to give him up. The youngster, after all, is coming on the back of a fruitful loan spell at Southampton that saw him score nine goals.

Aside from his goalscoring prowess, Broja made an impression with his work ethic in the final third, coupled with his imposing figure. It made him a tailor-made fit for the physically astute nature of the Premier League and quite unsurprisingly, he has been courted by several Premier League clubs this summer.

Even Chelsea are not willing to let him go, knowing the Albanian international possesses immense potential. The Blues are also running shallow in the goalscoring unit after sending Romelu Lukaku back to Inter Milan. Although they have brought in Raheem Sterling from Manchester City, Thomas Tuchel may ideally prefer a natural centre-forward.

That is where Armando Broja could prove to be an interesting asset in the Chelsea frontline next season. That said, the Blues are open to sanctioning a loan deal for the former Southampton starlet, knowing the player does have room to improve and could further enhance his qualities elsewhere.

West Ham have been mooted as a potential destination. The Hammers have accepted Chelsea’s position of not selling him permanently in the summer and are now willing to sign him on a loan deal, provided they will be given an option to secure the attacker on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

The Londoners have no shortage of options though, with emerging Italian starlet Gianluca Scamacca also appearing as a top target for David Moyes ahead of the new season. The Hammers are even prepared to fork out over €40 million for the Sassuolo starlet, so it will be interesting to see how things transpire in the coming days.
