Real Madrid will not sign Leroy Sane in the summer transfer window, with the German forward reportedly uninterested in leaving Bayern Munich.

According to reputed German journalist Tobi Altschaffl, Leroy Sane has no interest in leaving Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window as he wants to prove himself at the Allianz Arena. Widespread reports had linked the German international with Real Madrid, who might not want to sign him anyway.

Leroy Sane spent his formative years with three clubs before graduating from the FC Schalke 04 academy. The 26-year-old rose to prominence at the German club, spending two years of his professional career in their first-team setup before moving to Manchester City to take his game to the next level.

The German forward flourished in the four years he spent under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola, establishing himself as one of the best attackers in the Premier League. Sane’s next big move came in 2020, as he joined Bayern Munich in an initial €45 million deal. And while he experienced teething problems at the Allianz Arena, he has grown into a pivotal player for the Bundesliga giants.

Sane has a decent record of 24 goals and 27 assists in 89 appearances thus far for Bayern Munich. But recent reports have suggested that Sane could leave Bayern Munich this summer, with intermediaries reportedly offering him to Real Madrid.

The reigning La Liga champions do not need to sign a new wide-attacker, so long as they retain Marco Asensio beyond the summer transfer window. While Gareth Bale has left Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti has enough attacking resources at his disposal, particularly if he promotes Juanmi Latasa to the first-team squad.

The Real Madrid boss even iterated the same in his recent comments, suggesting the Merengues are done with their summer transfer business. And while Real Madrid might not have considered the offer to sign Sane anyway, the 26-year-old does not want to leave Bayern Munich either.

According to Tobi Altschaffl, Sane wants to prove himself as Bayern Munich, with the German journalist adding that the rumours are “far-fetched”. So the entire episode was a non-story, to begin with, and Sane will not move to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
