Fali Ramadani has reportedly offered Barcelona the chance to sign veteran Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly in a deal worth €20 million.

According to Italian journalist Giacomo Iacobellis, Barcelona might be able to fit Kalidou Koulibaly in their tight budget into the summer transfer window. Fali Ramadani has offered the veteran Napoli defender to Barcelona in a deal worth €20 million, with Nikola Milenkovic a possible replacement for the Senegalese international.

Kalidou Koulibaly has been one of the best defenders in Serie A since joining Napoli from KRC Genk eight years ago. The 31-year-old has been a mainstay at the back for the Partenopei for nearly a decade and has become one of the leaders at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in the last few years.

The veteran Senegalese defender has featured 317 times for Napoli thus far while chipping in with 14 goals and seven assists. But Koulibaly’s long-term future has left the Serie A giants in a spot of bother, as he has entered the final year of his current deal. Such a situation has captured the attention of Barcelona.

Barcelona might be getting an injection of catch by activating their economic levers, but they still need to balance their books as there are many high earners who might have to leave. So the Blaugrana will look to complete a mixture of big-money and cost-effective signings in the summer transfer window.

Koulibaly is reportedly so eager to move to Barcelona that he is ready to force his way out of Napoli to move to Camp Nou. And the Serie A giants seem ready to bite the bullet, considering the Catalan giants have the chance to secure his services in a €20 million deal.

It will be interesting to see how Barcelona will respond to the offer of signing Koulibaly in a cost-effective deal. What also remains to be seen is if Napoli will actually sell the veteran defender for €20 million in the summer transfer window.
