Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo is reportedly a target for CA Osasuna, while fellow centre-half Victor Chust is set to join Cadiz on a permanent transfer.

According to GOAL Spain, CA Osasuna are interested in signing Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo, who could be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Vallejo joined Real Madrid from Real Zaragoza in the summer of 2015 but has never been able to establish himself as a prominent member of the first-team squad. He has had loan stints away at Zaragoza, Eintracht Frankfurt, Wolves and Granada. Carlo Ancelotti decided to retain him at Real Madrid last summer, but the 25-year-old hardly played over the course of the campaign.

Indeed, Vallejo featured in just eight matches across all competitions, of which only half were starts. With Real Madrid adding Antonio Rudiger to their roster this summer, the Spaniard has fallen down the pecking order further, with Eder Militao, Nacho Fernandez, David Alaba and Rudiger ahead of him.

So, an exit is on the cards for Vallejo this summer, even though he would prefer continuing at Real Madrid despite the lack of regular game-time. The 25-year-old is already attracting interest from Espanyol and Getafe, with Osasuna also now entering the race to sign the centre-back from the reigning Spanish and European champions.

Osasuna are a player short in the defensive department after seeing Jonas Ramalho depart as a free agent. With a vacant centre-back spot available, they are seemingly eyeing Vallejo as a target. While the 25-year-old would like to remain at Real Madrid, the club are open to offers for him and an exit is a strong possibility.

Victor Chust set for a permanent move to Cadiz

While Jesus Vallejo could still end up remaining at Real Madrid, one player who is certain to move on this summer is fellow defender Victor Chust, who is closing in on a permanent transfer to Cadiz CF, reports GOAL Spain.

A product of the Real Madrid youth academy, Chust has been with the Merengues for ten years since joining from Valencia in 2012. Having risen through the ranks, the 22-year-old defender made his first-team debut under Zinedine Zidane in January last year. However, he has made just three senior appearances for the club.

Chust left Real Madrid to join Cadiz on loan last season and enjoyed a solid spell, playing 29 matches. Back at Real Madrid, the 22-year-old was always likely to leave, especially with his contract expiring next year. There had been links to Serie A side Empoli, while Sevilla were also keen on signing him.

However, as per the report, Chust is poised to return to Cadiz. There was no option of a permanent transfer included in the loan agreement last summer. So, having started fresh negotiations with Real Madrid, the minnows have agreed a deal to sign him. However, as per the report, Los Blancos will retain 50% of Chust’s rights as they will continue to monitor his progress with an eye on re-signing him in the future.
