Arsenal and Manchester United have reportedly reached out to the agent of Argentine forward Paulo Dybala.

According to FC Inter News, Arsenal and Manchester United have made contact with the agent of Argentine international Paulo Dybala, who is a free agent this summer.

The 28-year-old Dybala is available for a Bosman transfer after his contract with Juventus expired on June 30. The former Palermo ace has been linked with the who’s who of European football, with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Manchester City, among others, all credited with an interest in him at some point in recent months.

Arsenal and Manchester United had also been linked with a move for Dybala not very long ago, but things had gone quiet on that front in recent weeks as the two clubs switched their focus to other targets. In the meantime, the ex-Juventus ace appeared close to signing for Serie A giants Inter Milan.

However, things have slowed on with regard to Dybala’s move to Inter Milan as the Nerazzurri need to clear out some players from the squad before they can sign the Argentine. It has left the door open for other clubs to make a swoop.

And as per the report, Arsenal and Manchester United have contacted the player’s camp. However, the report adds that the two Premier League clubs have not tabled an offer for La Joya but have asked to be kept in the loop about his situation and potential transfer to Inter Milan.

Arsenal have completed the signing of Gabriel Jesus to bolster their attack, but Mikel Arteta has been on the lookout for another attacking addition. Leeds United ace Raphinha had been a top target, but a move for the Brazilian is no longer on the cards, leaving the Gunners to look at other options.

While Dybala would hardly represent a like-for-like alternative, his quality and availability on a free transfer would make him an option worth considering for Arsenal.

As for Manchester United, they are also in need of attacking reinforcements this summer, having seen the likes of Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard, and Juan Mata depart as free agents. Furthermore, Cristiano Ronaldo is seriously considering his future at Old Trafford. If he departs, the Red Devils will need to bring in another marquee forward to spearhead the attack, with Dybala a potential option.

However, as iterated earlier, Arsenal and Manchester United have only contacted Dybala’s camp to stay informed about his transfer to Inter Milan, and there have been no further negotiations. Whether that changes in the coming weeks remains to be seen.
