West Ham United have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Dutch international Arnaut Danjuma this summer.

According to El Periodico, as relayed by Hammers News, Premier League club West Ham United have been handed a major reason to be optimistic about their chances of signing Arnaut Danjuma this summer.

The Villarreal ace is coming off an impressive 2021/22 campaign that saw him contribute to Unai Emery’s side making the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League. It more or less resurrected the Dutch international’s career at the top level following a hit and miss spell at Bournemouth.

The 25-year-old is entering the prime of his career and is well placed to take his game to the next level. An excellent finisher who can also dribble and pass, Danjuma has the potential to become the complete package in the attack. More so, his affinity for set pieces makes him a dangerous attacker to go up against.

West Ham are overly reliant on Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen to make the difference up front. This more or less makes them predictable as we saw in the business end of the 2021/22 season. Bringing in another dynamic player in attack will give David Moyes more avenues to explore when it comes to offensive tactics.

The Dutchman has attracted attention from several top European clubs, and landing him will be nothing short of a coup for West Ham. This is more than a fanciful thought, given that Danjuma is keen on moving to the London Stadium.

The 25-year-old has already informed Villarreal of his intentions and is open to taking his talents to London. Priced at €45 million, the Dutch international will be one of West Ham’s most important players should the deal go through. Getting it done will be in the Hammers’ best interests and could potentially take their attack to the next level.

Capable of playing across the frontline, Danjuma’s versatility will be a welcome addition to Moyes’s team. The Dutchman’s ability on the ball and directness in attack make him a massive threat on the counter. Said Benrahma has done well at the London Stadium but could be on his way out this summer. Losing the Moroccan will make landing Danjuma more of a priority rather than a luxury for West Ham.
