Real Madrid could lose two attacking prodigies in the summer transfer window, with Rayo Vallecano interested in Sergio Arribas and Juanmi Latasa.

According to a report by Spanish publication AS, Sergio Arribas and Juanmi Latasa will likely leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window to seek regular game-time elsewhere. And the two Spanish prodigies are on the verge of moving across La Liga to join Rayo Vallecano ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Sergio Arribas has been with Real Madrid for nearly a decade, having joined La Fabrica from CD Leganes in 2012. Since then, the 20-year-old has come leaps and bounds, establishing himself as a playmaking extraordinaire in Los Blancos’ youth setup and Castilla team. The Spanish prodigy enjoyed a solid 2021/22 campaign, ending the season as Real Madrid Castilla’s top scorer with 15 goals.

Right behind Arribas was Juanmi Latasa, who scored 13 goals for Real Madrid Castilla this past season. The 21-year-old, a part of Real Madrid since his arrival from Union Adarve in 2016, is an imposing striker with a frame of 1.92m. The Spaniard has scouts raving about him, and it looks like he has popped up on the radar of a club in La Liga.

Rayo Vallecano will look to sign Arribas and Latasa from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, as they look to get their squad in shape for the 2022/23 season. Los Franjirrojos saw their form faltering considerably in the second half of the 2021/22 campaign, and they will need to be more consistent next term to retain their La Liga status.

Signing Arribas and Latasa might be risky. But the two Spanish prodigies share brilliant chemistry after playing together at Real Madrid Castilla, meaning Rayo Vallecano might be onto something by pursuing the young attackers in the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, the Merengues are seemingly preparing for life after Arribas and Latasa, as illustrated by their pursuits of two young attackers. Loren Zuniga and Noel Lopez have popped up on Real Madrid’s radar, with the duo viewed as the replacements for Arribas and Latasa.

As for Arribas and Latasa, leaving Real Madrid seems inevitable for the Spanish prodigies, and it will be interesting to see if the duo can kick-start their top-flight careers with a bang by joining La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano.
