La Liga trio Real Betis, Real Sociedad and Valencia are reportedly keen on signing Nico Gonzalez on loan from Barcelona this summer.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Nico Gonzalez could leave Barcelona on loan in the summer transfer window to feature prominently at the first-team level. And the Spanish prodigy is attracting interest from three La Liga clubs – Real Betis, Real Sociedad and Valencia.

Nico Gonzalez has been with Barcelona for nearly a decade, having joined the Catalan club from Montaneros in 2013. The 20-year-old has since come leaps and bounds, with Barcelona even desperately attempting to secure his long-term future last summer before he eventually committed himself to the Blaugrana.

Nico subsequently earned his first-team debut at the onset of the 2021/22 season and has made massive strides at Camp Nou since then. The Spanish prodigy made 36 appearances for Barcelona this past season. And Nico’s progress has not gone unnoticed, with some of the biggest clubs in La Liga, including Real Betis, Real Sociedad and Valencia, setting their sights on him.

The interest from Real Betis likely stems from the advancing years of Andres Guardado, with the Mexican midfielder in the twilight of his career. In addition, Guido Rodriguez is a popular figure in the transfer market and could leave Real Betis this summer. Barcelona prospect Nico is thus a viable target for Los Verdiblancos.

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad could be looking toward Nico as a direct replacement for Martin Zubimendi. The 23-year-old is a highly-coveted player in the market, with Barcelona coincidentally among the clubs keen on signing him this summer. And Nico will be a like-for-like replacement for Zubimendi at the Reale Arena.

As for Valencia, with Los Che set for another overhaul this summer, Nico could be an option worth considering amid uncertainties surrounding the future of Carlos Soler. Soler, like Zubimendi, is a target for Barcelona, and Nico could replace the Spanish international at the Mestalla.

Recent reports have claimed that Barcelona might be ready to sell Nico amid interest from clubs outside England, like Manchester City. But according to Fichajes, Barcelona will likely loan out the 20-year-old as they see a long and bright future for him at Camp Nou. So a move across La Liga could be on the cards for the youngster this summer.

Well done, barca should be more trustful about their talents, and not sell them, and spend money on other players, such behavior could make one mad. Give your prospects trust, and some space, my goodness. It was at the end a very well season, and for me, even as a barca fan, it would be OK if barca would be 2nd, or 3rd,some seasons, and proceed to a semi final, or quarter in champions league, in order to get rid of their debts, and build up a good team with a lot of the promising new generation.
