Newly-promoted La Liga club Real Valladolid will reportedly look to sign Reinier Jesus in a loan move from Real Madrid this summer.

According to a report by Spanish publication MARCA, Reinier Jesus is the subject of interest from Real Valladolid over a possible move in the summer transfer window. The newly-promoted La Liga club will look to land the Real Madrid attacker on loan, with the two parties opening talks over a transfer.

Reinier Jesus joined Real Madrid from Flamengo in January 2020, with the Brazilian playmaker hailed as the second coming of the legendary Kaka. But the 20-year-old is yet to establish a foothold at the Santiago Bernabeu, two and a half years since arriving at the Spanish club.

Reinier spent the second half of the 2019/20 season with Real Madrid Castilla before Los Blancos loaned him out to Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga club’s record of grooming youngsters would have enticed Real Madrid, but the two-year stint was a dud, with the Brazilian attacker struggling to make his mark at the Signal Iduna Park.

The 20-year-old garnered just 741 minutes of game-time across 39 appearances for Borussia Dortmund, chipping in with one goal and one assist. There were instances when Reinier seemed likely to return to Real Madrid early before embarking on another loan spell, but that did not materialise.

The young playmaker has finally returned to Real Madrid but is unlikely to feature for Carlo Ancelotti’s team in the 2022/23 season. The Spanish giants are instead expected to send Reinier out on another loan spell, with a move across La Liga on the cards.

Newly-promoted Real Valladolid will look to bring Reinier to the Jose Zorrilla Stadium in the summer transfer window, with Ronaldo ready to use his contacts at Real Madrid to see the deal through. The two clubs have initiated preliminary talks over a loan move, and a transfer seems likely.

The report claims that the Albivioletas are well-placed to secure the services of Reinier in the summer transfer window. So while the 20-year-old features on the radars of other La Liga clubs like Real Betis and Valencia, he will likely leave Real Madrid to join Real Valladolid this summer.
