West Ham are hoping to hijack AC Milan’s deal to sign Club Brugge’s attacking starlet Noa Lang this summer.

A recent report from Calciomercato.it has offered an update on the future of Noa Lang. The Club Brugge attacker is likely to leave the club in the summer transfer window, with AC Milan in the driver’s seat to secure his services. The Rossoneri are even willing to hand him a €2.5 million per year contract, but they are set to face stiff competition from West Ham and Leeds United.

West Ham are already prepared to offer a €3 million per year contract to Lang, theoretically putting them in the ascendancy. However, Lang’s priority is to join Milan, who have already held talks with Club Brugge over a transfer that could be worth up to €25 million.

Leeds United are another club to have expressed their desire to sign the Dutchman. Much like Milan, they have also held talks with Club Brugge regarding a transfer, although it is West Ham, who have a real shot at challenging AC Milan for the services of the 22-year-old, who has been one of the rising stars of Dutch football lately.

A left-winger by trade, Lang has indeed enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence since his move to Club Brugge in 2020. He has racked up 26 goals and just as many assists in 85 competitive appearances for the Belgian outfit, making a true impression with his pace, trickery and productivity in the final third.

The 22-year-old’s immense technical prowess makes him an appealing target for West Ham. The Hammers are quite predictably in the market for reinforcements in the creative department, as coach David Moyes looks to add more competition for the likes of Said Benrahma, Nikola Vlasic and Pablo Fornals.

West Ham are in pole position to sign Jesse Lingard on a Bosman move from Manchester United. But it appears coach Moyes is keen on adding more options at his disposal, and that is there someone like Noa Lang comes into the fray.

For a fee of just €25 million, the Dutchman could prove to be a real bargain for West Ham United, given the quality he offers in the final third, coupled with his immense potential. However, despite West Ham’s superior offer, Milan remain the frontrunners to sign the youngster and with the Rossoneri looking ahead to a promising project, the player could favour them over joining the London side.

Not for a second did I think he would come to Leeds. Would be surprised if he went to West Ham too although London does have a certain allure for some. But I still reckon Milan are in the driving seat
