La Liga heavyweights Sevilla are one of four clubs reportedly keen on signing Victor Chust from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Victor Chust is the subject of interest from Sevilla over a possible move in the summer transfer window. Real Madrid will likely loan out the Spanish defender for a second successive year, with Cadiz, Getafe and Valencia also keen on signing him.

Victor started his youth career at Valencia before moving to Real Madrid in 2012. The Spaniard progressed through the ranks rapidly at Real Madrid before turning professional by becoming a mainstay at the back for the Castilla team in 2019.

The 22-year-old made his first-team debut for Real Madrid in January 2021 but has made just one more appearance for Los Blancos. Chust spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Cadiz, where he grew into prominence as the campaign progressed, making 29 appearances across all competitions.

After playing his part in helping Cadiz remain in La Liga, Chust has returned to Real Madrid, who will likely loan him out again in the summer transfer window. And the Spanish defender has no shortage of prospective suitors keen on signing him, with Andalusian giants Sevilla among the clubs pursuing him.

Sevilla will need to invest in at least one centre-back in the summer transfer window as Diego Carlos will join Aston Villa in July. At the same time, Jules Kounde could follow his defensive partner out the exit door at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium amid links with Chelsea and FC Barcelona.

Chust is thus a viable target for Sevilla, considering he has now crucially gained experience in La Liga this season with Cadiz. Los Piratas are coincidentally looking to secure the services of the Real Madrid defender for a second successive season but will face stiff competition from Getafe and Valencia.

But Sevilla could be the most attractive destination, considering Chust will play for a club that will contest for a top-four spot in La Liga while playing in the UEFA Champions League. But game-time will also be a crucial factor, and it will be interesting to see who Real Madrid will loan him out to in the summer transfer window.
