Tottenham are reportedly closing in on highly-rated goalkeeper Josh Keeley, with a move looking imminent for the 19-year-old Irish prodigy.

According to Pundit Arena, Tottenham are closing in on St Patrick’s Athletic youngster Josh Keeley, with the talented goalkeeper eyed to become a future star at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The fee for the transfer remains somewhat unclear, but the move seems imminent.

As Antonio Conte eyes quality squad reinforcements, Tottenham are ready to make significant moves in the summer transfer window. Having finished in the fourth spot last term, the Italian tactician wants to continue with the team’s progress and expects the Tottenham board to back him adequately.

While Conte is known for his objective thinking in the market, he will certainly look to sign established players who could help the team immediately. The prospective signing of Ivan Perisic proves that theory, as the Croat will be a short-term, immediate fix rather than a long-term option.

Tottenham want to keep building the squad, with youngsters coming in and learning in the background, while the first team fights for honours. Spurs are eyeing several promising prospects and could use a similar strategy from last summer when they recruited Bryan Gil from Sevilla.

Tottenham are closing in on Josh Keeley from St. Patrick’s Athletic in a similar move. The talented 19-year-old goalkeeper has been garnering rave reviews for his performances in the Irish top flight and is already considered a future star by many.

Recent reports have insisted that the move looks imminent but may have been off the mark when reporting the fee. The amount is still under consideration, and Tottenham could sort a deal out in the coming weeks.

Spurs are looking to develop the goalkeeping prodigy for future teams and possibly view him as a successor for captain Hugo Lloris. Currently, they have an established keeper in Lloris, who extended his contract recently. Tottenham are also on the verge of signing Fraser Forster in a Bosman move to become the Frenchman’s deputy.

They had the option of signing Pierluigi Gollini permanently, but with the Italian goalkeeper failing to impress, Spurs are not expected to exercise the purchase option. Forster will occupy the space vacated by Gollini, while Keeley could start life at Tottenham with the younger teams.

The signing looks close, and Spurs could wrap up a deal for the 19-year-old Irish goalkeeper in a few days. Keeley would join compatriots Troy Parrott and Matt Doherty at Tottenham, which would be good for his progress at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
