Kia Joorabichian and Giuliano Bertolucci have reportedly offered their client Danilo to Barcelona as a possible successor for Sergio Busquets.

According to a report by Spanish publication SPORT, Kia Joorabichian and Giuliano Bertolucci have offered Danilo to Barcelona over a possible move in the summer transfer window. The Catalan giants do not consider the 21-year-old Palmeiras midfielder as a successor for Sergio Busquets, with Ruben Neves their priority target.

Danilo has gone from strength to strength since joining Palmeiras from PFC Cajazeiras in October 2020. After a solid 2021 campaign, the Brazilian has started the 2022 season strongly, establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in South America.

The 21-year-old has turned out 23 times for Palmeiras thus far this term, chipping in with five goals and two assists. Danilo’s exploits have not gone unnoticed, with some of the most high profile clubs in Europe setting their sights on him. But the player’s representatives, Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci have offered him to Barcelona.

Kia Joorabichian shares a healthy relationship with Barcelona after recently facilitating Philippe Coutinho’s move to Aston Villa. And he could work with Barcelona for a transfer for another of his clients, Danilo, especially with the Blaugrana scouring the market for a long-term successor for Sergio Busquets.

The Barcelona captain is in the twilight of his storied career and could start getting phased out as a regular in the coming years. Danilo is thus an option worth considering for Barcelona, especially considering he is only 21 years old, meaning Xavi Hernandez could mould the Brazilian to his liking.

Danilo could also learn the ropes from Busquets before taking over as the undisputed first-choice defensive midfielder. But the Catalan giants are prioritising a move for Ruben Neves instead of launching the offensive for the 21-year-old Brazilian midfielder, even though he will only cost around €25 million.

But Danilo does not have any shortage of suitors, with Arsenal and Juventus keen on signing him. However, the youngster will unlikely move to Barcelona unless the move for Neves hits a stumbling block, which could still be a possibility considering Wolverhampton Wanderers will charge a premium for the Portuguese international.
