Inter Milan could sell Lautaro Martinez if they can get €60 million from suitors such as Arsenal or Tottenham in the summer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan may end up selling Lautaro Martinez if interested clubs can cough up €60 million in the summer. Tottenham and Arsenal have been keen on signing the Argentine international, while there could be interest from other Premier League giants if he is genuinely available.

Lautaro Martinez will end the current season as his best yet in Inter Milan colours and could yet win the Serie A title. The Nerazzurri are still in the mix for the Scudetto despite recent slip-ups. Irrespective of what happens between now and the end of the season, there could be slight changes to their squad.

Inter Milan are still under a cloud of financial troubles, which has continued since last summer. Back then, the Serie A giants had no choice but to sell star players such as Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi for big money, helping them address their own issues.

The report insists similar problems exist this year, and Inter Milan may be resigned to selling some of their top-rated stars. Among those could be defenders Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni, while Martinez could also fetch a massive fee in the current market.

There has been considerable interest from Premier League sides, with Arsenal and Tottenham reportedly in the mix for the Argentine forward. But Martinez may not want a departure at this time, considering he signed a new contract earlier in the season.

However, he may not have a say if Inter Milan are willing to accept an offer, which they could if a proposal worth €60 million is put on the table. Martinez has reportedly been keen on only joining one of Liverpool or Manchester City, but those clubs may not have space for the striker in the next window.

That leaves Arsenal and Tottenham in contention to land Martinez, and a transfer tussle could ensue in the summer. The north Londoner clubs have been interested since last August and are ready to reignite their pursuit. Tottenham boss Antonio Conte won the Serie A with Martinez at Inter and would have no problems in accommodating the striker in his plans.

Martinez also somewhat fits the bill for Tottenham and may become the successor to Harry Kane if the England captain departs. One problem for Spurs would be them potentially failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, which may have a bearing on transfers for players like the Argentine international.

Arsenal are planning to stop Tottenham from playing in the Champions League. The Gunners are linked with key names to fill the void in their attacking unit next season. Mikel Arteta is looking at players to bring in a goal threat while being suited to his system.

Arsenal are linked with Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Darwin Nunez, while Martinez also features on their list. The €60 million fee could suit the Gunners, and they could look at a move if it was realistically possible.

The summer window will further reveal the actual price tag Inter Milan are expecting for Martinez, which may be higher than the reported €60 million. The Argentine international could be a valuable asset for Arsenal and Tottenham, although he would have loved to join a Liverpool or Manchester City if the opportunity was there.
