Manchester United have reportedly put West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen on their transfer wishlist for the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to Fichajes, with Erik ten Hag’s impending arrival after the ongoing season, Manchester United are preparing for the summer transfer window. Along with the big names such as Pau Torres, Harry Kane and the likes, the Red Devils are also monitoring low-key players who can improve their squad.

In this quest, Manchester United have identified West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen, who has been impressive in the Premier League this season. The 25-year-old has scored ten and assisted as many goals in the English top-flight this season. The 2020/21 season, which was his first full campaign with the Londoners, was quite productive too as he returned eight goals and five assists in 38 league matches.

With two solid seasons on his CV, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the Red Devils have kept him on their radar. Bowen has been impressive in the Europa League as well, scoring three goals and assisting one. He will have three years remaining on his contract after the ongoing season.

Manchester United have had a disappointing season and are currently languishing in the sixth spot in the Premier League table, eight points behind fourth-placed Arsenal with just three games left to play. They have been knocked out of every cup competition and are set to finish outside the top four as well.

With Erik ten Hag taking over as the club’s manager in the summer, they are preparing for a major overhaul to give the incoming tactician the best possible platform to start a rebuild. A new winger would not go amiss considering that Marcus Rashford has struggled this term. With the likes of Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard set to depart, depth in the attacking unit would be necessary.

The Manchester-based side have been linked with Ajax right-winger Antony as well, who has played under ten Hag and has been one of the stars of his side at Amsterdam. It remains to be seen which of their two targets United prioritise come the summer transfer window.

The aforementioned report highlights two more of United’s transfer targets. Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse and Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia are also on their radar, and they could make summer moves for them.
