Arsenal have entered the race to sign Nahuel Molina from Udinese, with the Italian side demanding €30 million for the Argentine right-back.

According to Fichajes, Arsenal are interested in signing Nahuel Molina in the summer, with Mikel Arteta keen to address the need for a new right-back. The Argentine international may cost around €30 million, although the Gunners face competition from Atletico Madrid and Juventus for the Udinese sensation.

Nahuel Molina has been one of the better players in the right-back position in Serie A this season. The Argentine international has scored six goals and provided four assists this term, which are impressive numbers for a full-back.

The 24-year-old is attracting interest from the Premier League, La Liga and from within Italy, as a transfer away from Udinese looks likely. Juventus are the team from Serie A keen on bringing the Argentine to solve their issues in the position, with Atletico Madrid and Arsenal are also vying for his signature.

Udinese are demanding a €30 million fee for Molina in the summer, which is fair considering the full-back only signed a new contract until 2026 earlier in the season. The Gunners could be tempted to make a move considering many factors, including his style of play, as Mikel Arteta eyes a new right-back.

Arsenal currently have Takehiro Tomiyasu and Cedric Soares in the squad covering the right-back area. The Japan international has had injury issues since the start of 2022, which has prompted the club to look for a competing option in the next window.

Cedric may not play for Arsenal beyond the current season, which makes a new right-back signing necessary at the club. They are keen on a player that suits their style and fits the system under Arteta.

Some names from within England have been mentioned, with Norwich City’s Max Aarons one of the high-profile targets for next summer. There are also links to Middlesbrough starlet Djed Spence, who is being chased by several other sides in the Premier League. Now, Molina has also emerged as a potential candidate to strengthen Arsenal’s options at right-back.

Molina could be a great addition to the side, as the player could be the perfect competitor for Tomiyasu going into next season. Moreover, the two players have contrasting styles, which could let Arteta utilise them according to the game plan against different teams.
