Juventus have reportedly contacted Jorginho over a summer move as the Bianconeri remain keen on signing the Chelsea midfielder.

According to Calciomercato, Juventus are highly interested in signing Jorginho during the summer transfer window. The Italian giants have seemingly contacted the player over a transfer, and they could prepare an offer to convince Chelsea in the summer.

Chelsea’s situation with the sanctions placed by the UK Government in light of Roman Abramovich’s links with Russian President Vladimir Putin could have a negative effect. The regulators have included a transfer ban among the restrictions imposed, which also stops the club from extending player contracts.

While there are ongoing talks over a potential takeover, the sanctions will be in place until that happens. There are plenty of players either with expiring contracts or those who will have a year left on their deals. Antonio Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta, N’Golo Kante, Andreas Christensen and Jorginho are in danger of leaving Chelsea.

Jorginho, in particular, will enter the final year of his contract at Chelsea, which has alerted many suitors, specifically from Serie A. Juventus remain confident of signing the Chelsea midfield metronome in the summer, which is something he may explore, considering many factors.

However, there is plenty of competition for the holding midfielder from elsewhere, although Jorginho may the idea of returning to Serie A. Chelsea do not want to lose their influential star, but they could be resigned to letting him go if their situation does not change quickly.

Former Chelsea boss and current Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri also remains keen on a reunion with the midfield metronome, although the Roman club may be unable to compete financially with Serie A rivals Juventus. Overall, there are plenty of options for Jorginho to consider, including that of remaining in the Premier League with Chelsea.

Juventus are reportedly very keen on bringing the midfielder back to Italy, as Massimiliano Allegri looks to reshape his midfield setup with Jorginho sitting at the base. The experienced manager has scrambled through this season, with many failed experiments under his belt, and the Serie A giants have struggled to impose themselves.

The midfield area is considered vital, as they are unable to get the best out of Manuel Locatelli. Allegri wants the Italian national team’s setup at the club level, which could see Jorginho hold a position while letting the former Sassuolo man take a more expressive role.

Winter signing Denis Zakaria could be reduced to either a high-quality squad option or form a part of a midfield-three. Either way, Juventus plan their squad’s shape with Jorginho as their key man. To get the Italian international, they may have to pay a hefty fee and convince Chelsea to let him leave.

A return to Serie A could be the right move for the Chelsea midfield metronome, as he could embark on a new adventure to win the Serie A at Juventus. Despite having just a year left in his contract, Jorginho would be difficult to get for Juventus or any other team, and the Blues will do their best to retain the midfield star.
