Newly-promoted Premier League side Fulham are reportedly planning an audacious move for Lazio midfielder and Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
According to 90 min, Serbia and Fulham striker Aleksandr Mitrovic is trying to convince his international teammate Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to join Fulham. The midfielder is also a transfer target for Manchester United, whereas Juventus have also registered interest in the 27-year-old.
Fulham are preparing to provide manager Marco Silva with a considerable war chest to stay in the Premier League for an extended period. Milinkovic-Savic has emerged as a potential target for the west London club and could be the big-name signing that could spur them on for the upcoming Premier League season.
The Cottagers will be back in the Premier League next term after mathematically securing one of the automatic promotion spots in the EFL Championship. They have started preparing for the upcoming season already and are optimistic that they can table a good-enough offer for the 27-year-old midfielder.
Milinkovic-Savic has been an integral part of the Lazio setup since joining them in 2015. He has since gone on to make 226 appearances for the Serie A side, scoring 46 and assisting 40 goals. He has been especially impressive since the 2017/18 season, attracting interest from Europe’s best sides.
This season, the midfielder has scored nine and assisted 11 goals but with just over two years remaining on his contract, this could be the perfect time to make a move for all parties involved.
