Arsenal, AC Milan and Sevilla are reportedly among the clubs interested in securing the services of OGC Nice striker Amine Gouiri this summer.

According to Calciomercato, Amine Gouiri could be set for a move away from OGC Nice this summer as the Ligue 1 outfit face a fierce battle to keep hold of his services. Arsenal, AC Milan, and La Liga giants Sevilla are some of the clubs keen on securing the signing of the 22-year-old striker, who has mesmerised the onlookers with his performances in the French top flight this term.

A product of the Lyon youth academy that has produced talents such as Houssem Aouar, Rayan Cherki and Melvin Bard in recent years, Gouiri moved to OGC Nice in a deal worth €7 million. It turned out to be a major bargain for the club as the youngster immediately made his professional breakthrough, scoring 12 goals last season.

Gouiri has maintained his performances in the current season and has been involved in 17 goals in just 30 league appearances. The French striker’s performances in the final third have been critical in helping Nice produce a strong fight for the Champions League places.

A centre forward by trade, Gouiri is a modern-day striker who relies heavily on his technical skill and movements rather than his physicality. The unique combination of Gouiri’s technical quality and Andy Delort’s physical and aerial prowess has led to immense success for Nice this season, with the duo combining for 20 league goals this term.

The 22-year-old’s performances have not gone unnoticed either, with Arsenal among the clubs interested in securing his services. The Gunners are likely targeting him as a direct replacement for Alexandre Lacazette, who is unlikely to continue at the Emirates amid interest from Barcelona and his former club Lyon.

Apart from Arsenal, another club involved in the chase are AC Milan. The Rossoneri want to add a bit of youthful exuberance to their attacking unit next season and move on from the likes of Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. They might also be preparing for life without Rafael Leao, who has emerged as a target for Liverpool.

Amine Gouiri, to that end, could be an excellent option for both Arsenal and Milan due to the Frenchman’s versatility in the final third, coupled with his technical skill that could suit the respective managers’ style of play. Even La Liga giants Sevilla could prove to be an interesting destination for Gouiri as the club look to move on from Anthony Martial, who has failed to impress on his loan spell at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
