Premier League giants Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all showing interest in Leicester City midfielder James Maddison.

According to the Fichajes, Leicester City are thinking of possibly cashing in on James Maddison to fund summer incomings. The Foxes have not had the best of seasons in their recent past and are eager to get back to challenging for the top four in the 2022/23 season.

Like every other club, the Foxes were hit financially by the COVID-19 enforced lockdowns and will need to sell some of their players before adding more firepower to the side. Brendan Rodgers is keen on adding a centre-back, a midfielder and a forward to the squad, all of whom should slot into his first-team straightaway.

Leicester are thus thinking of cashing in on Maddison, who is currently rated at £50 million, a sum that could help them add reinforcements this summer. As per Fichajes, the Foxes might not have to struggle to find potential suitors for the English international. Arsenal, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Liverpool are all reportedly interested in the midfielder.

Maddison joined Leicester City in the 2018 summer window from Norwich City and has since been a crucial player for them. In 159 appearances so far, he has scored times goals and assisted 28 goals for the Foxes. Maddison has scored 13 and assisted eight strikes across all competitions this season.

With his recent form and Leicester’s desperation to raise funds, Maddison could well be on his way out of the King Power Stadium after this season. Arsenal had previously shown interest in the 25-year-old English international, but they have signed Martin Odegaard instead.

Manchester United are aiming for a major summer overhaul. With Paul Pogba set to leave this summer, they could consider Maddison a potential replacement if they fail to get their prime targets. Liverpool, too, are eager to continue improving and challenging for silverware, which explains the pursuit of Maddison.

Maddison will have a few clubs lining up for him if Leicester decide to let him leave even with a year remaining on his contract. It remains to be seen which of Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool get lucky in the pursuit of the 25-year-old English international.
