Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly been snubbed by Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, who is happy with his life at Stamford Bridge.

A recent report from Le Parisien has revealed Paris Saint-Germain’s attempt to sign N’Golo Kante during the January transfer window. The Parisian juggernaut had approached the Chelsea midfielder in the winter transfer window, seeking the possibility of a summer move to the French capital.

PSG have been on the trail of Kante ever since France’s triumph in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. They have tried to get their hands on the influential midfielder on multiple occasions but have been rebuffed by the player time and time again. This past January was no exception, with the Chelsea midfielder knocking back the offer from PSG in favour of an extended stay at Stamford Bridge.

The report suggests Kante is happy with his life in west London. He likes the quiet nature of the city and does not prefer to move to a metropolis like Paris, attracting glam and attention. It has been a major reason behind his disapproval of PSG over the years, with the Chelsea ace evidently not a fan of the city.

Kante is also unfazed by Chelsea’s ongoing ownership crisis. He wants to focus on his game and help Thomas Tuchel and his troops to reach the club’s goals, and objectives come the end of the season.

Kante’s desire to remain at Stamford Bridge could serve as a massive boost for Chelsea, especially amid uncertainties over the future of Jorginho. The Italian international is reportedly keen on returning to his homeland, with Juventus emerging as one of the potential destinations.

The Blues may also have a tough time keeping hold of Conor Gallagher. The young Englishman is set to return from his loan spell at Crystal Palace, but he has emerged as a potential target for AS Roma, coached by former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

As for PSG, Kante’s rejection could likely force them to shift their attention towards another Frenchman in the form of Paul Pogba. The Manchester United midfielder is set to leave Old Trafford, with his current deal expiring at the end of the season. He could fancy a move to PSG in the summer, although the Manchester United superstar has been in contact with Real Madrid as well.
