Real Madrid have reportedly completed the signing of 15-year-old Spanish prodigy Marcos Garcia Montolio, who will arrive from Elche in the summer.

According to a report from Spanish publication Defensa Central, Real Madrid have clinched the signing of Marcos Garcia Montolio, with the 15-year-old set to join La Fabrica at the end of the season.

Montolio is a product of the Elche CF academy. Born in 2007, the young defender joined the Franjiverdes from Celtic de Elche and has enjoyed steady progress through the youth ranks. A part of Elche’s Cadete B team, the teenage prospect has impressed a lot and has even managed to get some game-time with the Cadete A team.

Montolio has also represented the Spanish national team at the Under-15 level, recently taking part in the friendly encounters against Russia. The young defender’s potential and promise have helped him attract suitors from across the country. However, he will now be moving to the academy of Real Madrid, who continue to attract the best prospects from within the country and outside.

Real Madrid have been focusing heavily on bolstering their roster at La Fabrica as well as their Castilla outfit as president Florentino Perez plans to build superstars for his team from within the club. It has led to the Merengues bringing in several exciting prospects over the past year while they continue to target more talented young footballers.

Brazilian prodigy Endrick, who plays for Palmeiras, is one such prospect on Real Madrid’s radars, while they also secured the services of Enrique Herrero from Eintracht Frankfurt recently.

They have reportedly added another young talent with great promise in the form of Marcos Garcia Montolio. The report states that Elche made an offer for the 15-year-old defender to stay put at the club. However, the teenage prodigy had his heart set on moving to Real Madrid and has completed the formalities to join the Spanish capital club.

Montolio will arrive at Real Madrid at the start of the next season and will hope to rise through the ranks at La Fabrica to break into the Castilla side and eventually into the first team in the years to come.
