Arsenal and Liverpool have reportedly contacted Villarreal for Yeremy Pino, a target for Real Madrid who has an €80 million release clause.

According to a report by Spanish outlet El Desmarque, Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs that have established contact with Villarreal for Yeremy Pino. The Spanish international is also a target for Real Madrid and has an €80 million release clause in his contract.

Yeremy Pino has come leaps and bounds since joining Villarreal from CD Roda in July 2019. Over the last two and a half years, the 19-year-old has made swift progress at Estadio de la Ceramica, going from strength to strength since making a breakthrough at the Spanish club last term.

Yeremy has raked in seven goals and four assists in 34 appearances across all competitions in the ongoing campaign. The teenage prodigy has also made his bow for the Spanish national side while recently committing his future to Villarreal, with his new contract possessing an €80 million release clause. The player’s progress has not gone unnoticed either, with Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Liverpool monitoring his progress.

The interest from Real Madrid stems from the uncertainties surrounding the future of Eden Hazard. The Belgian international has become a bit-part player for Los Blancos and will likely exit the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer transfer window. And Yeremy could be a solid option to be Hazard’s long-term replacement at Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Arsenal might need to enter the market for a wide-attacker in the summer transfer window as Nicolas Pepe faces an uncertain future at the Emirates after falling down the pecking order this season. And there is a chance that Gabriel Martinelli could play more games as a striker than a left-winger, thereby opening up a spot for someone like Yeremy Pino. However, others, like Domenico Berardi, are also on Arsenal’s radar.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s pursuit of Yeremy could be a byproduct of the rising uncertainties surrounding Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. The wide-attacking duo will enter the final years of their respective contracts in the summer, meaning Liverpool will need to keep their options open.

According to El Desmarque, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle United have already contacted Villarreal about the 19-year-old. The interest from the Premier League quartet is just in its nascent stage. But with Real Madrid also in the running, the suitors will need to launch the offensive quickly, although the €80 million release clause should complicate matters.
