Juventus have joined the chase for Renato Sanches as the Serie A giants prepare to battle the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool for the Portuguese international.

According to Fichajes, Juventus are looking to sign Renato Sanches in the summer transfer window, as the Bianconeri eye a new midfielder to shore up their options in the middle of the park. Arsenal and Liverpool are also in the race to sign the 24-year-old Portuguese international, with Lille ready to sanction a sale for the right price.

Renato Sanches is set to be available in the summer, with Lille willing to sanction a sale of their star midfielder. Whenever the declaration comes out of the French side, plenty of clubs will queue up for his signature. In the modern game, he is a midfielder viewed by many clubs as an ideal candidate to strengthen their options.

Sanches has a contract with Lille until 2023, with no signs of a new deal on the horizon. Hence, the Ligue 1 club will likely cash in on the midfielder in the summer unless they are willing to risk losing him for free the following summer. There is a chance Les Dogues have to accept a lower fee in the process, which would be considered necessary with all the financial troubles they are facing.

They kept hold of their prized assets in the January transfer window, but amid their money problems, Lille will likely sanction sales for players such as Sven Botman, Jonathan David and Renato Sanches. Arsenal and Liverpool are linked with the Portuguese midfielder, and there are others in the mix, such as Serie A giants Juventus and AC Milan.

Arsenal are looking at Sanches as a possible replacement for Granit Xhaka in the summer, as Mikel Arteta prepares to fully implement the 4-3-3 system. The Arsenal manager views the Portuguese international as the ideal solution for the left-sided no. 8 role, with Martin Odegaard already established in the other berth.

Liverpool could be looking at the 24-year-old as a possible option to refresh their current midfield options. He could be a potential long-term replacement for the ageing James Milner and Jordan Henderson, and a move makes sense from Jurgen Klopp’s perspective.

The English giants have strong competition from Juventus, who are looking at similar ideas after a difficult few seasons. The Serie A giants desperately need to refresh their options and bring in players who can give them a new dimension. Sanches is considered such a star who could revamp their midfield.

Several players such as Adrien Rabiot, Arthur Melo and Rodrigo Bentancur had stagnated lately, with Bentancur already out of the club when he joined Tottenham in January. However, Manuel Locatelli and new arrival Denis Zakaria have responded correctly to the new demands.

Juventus would thus like to sign Sanches and are waiting on Lille’s demands for the player. The Ligue 1 champions reportedly sought €30 million in the January transfer window for the 24-year-old Portuguese international, although that price could go down a bit in the summer when Sanches will have a year left on his deal.

It remains to be seen where Sanches’s next destination would be. It certainly is not at Lille, and the midfielder could start a new spell in either a Premier League or Serie A amid interest from Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus, and AC Milan.
