Arsenal have been handed a huge boost as star player Bukayo Saka has no interest in leaving the Emirates amid interest from Liverpool.

Italian news outlet, Calciomercato, has recently offered a brief update on Bukayo Saka, suggesting the Arsenal forward has no apparent plans to depart the Emirates. It could serve as a major boost for the north London giants, especially after rumours had surfaced earlier this year, surrounding potential interest from Liverpool over a summer move.

A product of Arsenal’s own youth academy, Saka has become one of the rising stars of England football in recent years. Since his breakthrough during the 2019/20 campaign, the youngster has racked up 118 competitive appearances for Arsenal, scoring 20 goals while mustering 27 assists.

His numbers are quite impressive for a player of his age. But other than his productivity, what truly sets him apart from his other youngsters is the sheer maturity at the highest level of football. It is the reason for the 20-year-old already winning 14 caps for the England national team, while he played a vital role in his nation’s route to the UEFA Euro 2020 final.

Saka has indeed proven himself with each passing game, which has made him a key asset for Mikel Arteta. At the same time, it has attracted interest from Liverpool as they look to brace themselves for life without their experienced forwards.

In many ways, Saka might be considered a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah. While the Reds are in a position to extend the Egyptian’s contract beyond 2023, they have been hesitant about it due to his wage demands. It has led to fierce speculation over Salah’s future, with the 29-year-old emerging as a potential summer target for Real Madrid.

Liverpool are not the only club eyeing a summer swoop for Saka, with Manchester City also reportedly keeping close tabs on the Englishman’s current situation at Arsenal.

However, it appears the player has no ambition to move elsewhere just yet and wants to become an even more integral part of Mikel Arteta’s setup that is already yielding significant success this season. The Gunners are currently flying high and are on course to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League, especially after a narrow victory over Watford this weekend.

So, Liverpool’s interest in Saka is unlikely to lead to anything come summer, with the forward set to stay put at the Emirates.

This is a good news because we the fans do not want him to leave anytime soon.

We are happy he is committed to the club. This is the time we need him the most. Arsenal needs Saka now and future ahead of them.
