Real Madrid will reportedly soon hold discussions with 19-year-old Dutch prodigy Ryan Gravenberch over a possible summer move.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Real Madrid will hold a key meeting with Ryan Gravenberch’s entourage in the coming weeks. Ajax will demand around €60 million to part with the Dutch prodigy in the summer transfer window.

Ryan Gravenberch is widely regarded as one of the brightest young midfield prospects in Europe, having taken Dutch football by storm since breaking into the first-team setup at Ajax a couple of years ago. Now a regular feature for club and country, the Dutch international’s stock has risen considerably lately.

To date, the 19-year-old has made 91 appearances for Ajax, chipping in with ten goals and 11 assists along the way. But the Dutch giants are in a spot of bother over Gravenberch’s long-term future as he has entered the final 18 months of his contract. The Dutch prodigy’s situation has not gone unnoticed, with Real Madrid among his prospective suitors.

The interest from Real Madrid stems from the advancing years of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. The two ageing midfield stalwarts are approaching the final phases of their respective careers and will likely start getting phased out sooner or later.

In addition, with Isco and Dani Ceballos facing uncertain futures at Real Madrid, Real Madrid will have to fast-track the search for a long-term midfield solution. To that end, Gravenberch is a viable target, with the 19-year-old Dutch prodigy one of two key targets identified by Real Madrid.

Apart from Gravenberch, the Spanish giants also have their sights set on Aurelien Tchouameni. As for the pursuit of the Ajax whizkid, Real Madrid will soon hold talks with him in a key meeting in the coming weeks, wherein the two parties will discuss a possible summer transfer.

But signing Gravenberch could cost Real Madrid a pretty penny, with Ajax set to demand around €60 million to part with him. With Gravenberch entering the final year of his contract in the summer, it is likely that Real Madrid will look to negotiate a lower sum instead of shelling out €60 million to secure the services of the 19-year-old.
