Juventus are reportedly readying a four-year contract proposal for Paul Pogba as they wish to re-sign him from Manchester United in the summer.

According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Juventus are ramping up their efforts to secure the services of Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Pogba spent four very successful years at Juventus between 2012 and 2016 after joining them on a Bosman move from Manchester United. The Frenchman enjoyed a meteoric rise in Turin, which prompted the Red Devils to re-sign him in the summer of 2016 for a club-record fee of £89 million.

While Pogba’s second stint at Old Trafford was off to a flier, he has failed to hit the heights of his debut season in recent years. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner can be a world-beater on his day but has been found lacking in consistency which has hurt the team on numerous occasions. Matters have only been made worse by his outspoken agent Mino Raiola, who is never shy of taking a dig at the club.

Pogba’s current contract with Manchester United stands to run out at the end of the season. While the 20-time English champions have made efforts to try and renew his deal, little progress has been achieved, leading to rumblings over his future.

PSG have been strongly interested in securing his services while there have been plenty of links with Real Madrid and Barcelona as well. At the same time, Juventus, too, have shown great keenness to bring Pogba back to Turin when his current deal with Manchester United expires.

The Bianconeri have been well below their best over the past couple of seasons and need some serious inspiration and quality. The January signings of Denis Zakaria and Dusan Vlahovic add star power to the team, but the lack of world-class players in midfield is something that they are hoping to address.

Arthur Melo and Adrien Rabiot have failed to click in Italy and could be shown the doors, potentially opening the door for Pogba to make his return to the Allianz Stadium. A midfield trident of Zakaria, Pogba and Manuel Locatelli would have the class and quality to go toe to toe with the best teams.

To that end, Juventus are already putting together a contract package for Pogba. As per the update from Rudy Galetti, the Old Lady are willing to offer the Frenchman a four-year deal which would be worth a sum of €9 million per season, while there will be separate add-ons and bonuses as well.

Juventus plan to send their offer to Raiola at the earliest as they look to seal the deal. Pogba himself is believed to be keen on returning to Turin. But it will be interesting to see whether he is willing to compromise on his wages, considering he makes around £15 million per year at Manchester United.

he’s not gonna join Juve. New board is against signing older players. They also introduced a salary cap of 7M. That is why they strugle to extend Dybala. I don’t see why Pobga would join Juve. Money talks
