With the first half of 2011-12 I-League campaign coming to a conclusion by the end of Round-13, Dempo managed to hang on to their top billing despite succumbing to a shocking 1-2 defeat against Prayag United. East Bengal earned a clinical 2-1 win over Air India to move to the 2nd spot just a point adrift of Dempo. This is indeed a good advertisement for Indian football as the league is getting more and more exciting with every passing game.
