German midfielder Sami Khedira has officially joined Italian champions Juventus on a free transfer after his contract with Real Madrid came to an end. Juventus have announced the agreement of a four-year contract with Sami Khedira and the midfielder will join from Real Madrid on a free transfer after his contract with the Spanish giants comes to an end on 30th June 2015. The 28-year old has signed for the Serie A champions till 2019. Khedira moved to Real Madrid from Vfb Struttgart in 2010 and spent five years at the Spanish club. Juventus are reportedly in the running for the signature of Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, whose contract is expiring. The German international has been frozen out in the Spanish capital, with the 28-year-old making just three starts this season, despite being an integral part of Germany’s World Cup winning squad. La Repubblica reports that the Bianconeri are ready to offer Khedira an escape route, with the player almost certain to leave when his contract expires this summer. The newspaper believes the Old Lady have made initial contact with Khedira, who currently earns around €5m per season in Spain.
