Odegaard, who is still just 16 years old, has already made seven appearances for the Norwegian national team, and is considered a prodigious talent in the Scandinavian country. Outspoken PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has told 16-year-Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard that he must grow up. The 33 year old Swedish international faced Odegaard in a friendly between Sweden and Norway on Monday, and reckons it’s time for the 16-year-old to mature as a person. Martin Odegaard’s father, Hans Erik Odegaard, joined Real Madrid as a youth team coach as part of the deal which saw the young Norwegian agree to join Real Madrid in January over Liverpool FC, the club he supports. Martin Odegaard finally agrees to Real Madrid move. Real Madrid have reached an agreement to sign 16-year-old Norwegian forward Martin Odegaard from Stromsgodset. Odegaard will be presented to the media at a news conference on Thursday, the club said. Real did not disclose the details of the financial terms but Spanish media reported that they had paid around 3m euros. Odegaard made his debut for Norway as a 15-year-old in August and had been linked with many of Europe’s top clubs. A club statement read: “Real Madrid CF and Stromsgodet Football have reached an agreement for the transfer of Martin Odegaard”.
