Liverpool FC’s legendary forward Robbie Fowler has mentioned that he would advise young English attacker Raheem Sterling to stay at the club for his own development and benefit.  Raheem Sterling, 20, was adamant to leave the club even before the last season ended. His transfer has been a subject of great speculation since a long time and he has been linked with a move to several top European sides. Recent rumours suggest that Manchester City are leading the race to rope in Sterling and they have already placed  multiple bids for the youngster. Speaking about Sterling’s transfer, club legend Robbie Fowler opined: “It’s obvious Raheem has been confused by what’s happened over the last few months, but I still believe the right thing for his development is to stay, and I hope for his sake he can somehow see that. “I still think there is time to back away from this. These things seem to get a momentum and you think you have […]

Premier League side Liverpool FC have reportedly revived their interest in signing Southampton FC’s English right-back Nathaniel Clyne in the summer. Southampton had earlier snubbed a £10million bid of the Reds for the defender. Nathaniel Clyne 24 has one more year left in his present contract with Southampton. The Saints are looking forward to retaining his services. Liverpool FC have already parted ways with England international Glen Johnson, as a result the Reds are looking forward to rope in another quality full-back who can replace Johnson at the club. Nathaniel Clyne had a terrific season with Southampton and played in almost every match in the Premier League. In the 35 games, Clyne made 63 interceptions and scored 2 goals. His impressive performance in this season’s Premier League earned him a national team call from England manager Roy Hodgson. Glen Johnson on other hand remained out of favour under Brendan Rodgers for almost half of the season. Brendan Rodgers had changed his formation since […]

Arsenal and Liverpool will have to activate Luiciano Viett’s release clause of  £14.5m Media reports in Spain suggest that Premier League giants Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC will have to spend £14.5m to rope in Villarreal’s Argentine striker Luciano Vietto. The 21-year-old striker had joined the Spanish side in 2014 and he has had an impressive debut at the club scoring 12 goals in 32 games. Villarreal reportedly are not very keen on selling their young striker who has performed pretty well. This suggests that the Premier League sides will have to activate his release clause of £14.5m. Speculations regarding Viett’s possible transfer  gained momentum a few days back when Vietto’s agent Jorge Cyterszpiler had revealed that a lot of clubs are watching his client’s progress and the youngster may leave the club in the summer. He was quoted: “We know that a lot of big clubs are watching Luciano Vietto. There is a lot of competition for him. I think he could leave Villarreal […]

According to latest reports in English media, Liverpool FC are keen on signing Atletico Madrid’s 29-year-old striker Mario Mandzukic in the summer. The Premier League side have been in search of a quality striker due to the lack of goals from its current strike force. Madzukic currently at Atletico Madrid, has now emerged as a possible target for Liverpool. Atletico Madrid bought Mandzukic from Bayern Munich last summer for a bargainable price of €22 million after he became out of favour at the club due to Robert Lewandowski’s arrival. The striker has had a decent outing with the Spanish side in his debut season, scoring 12 goals in 28 La Liga appearances. But it is believed that Diego Simeone is not content with Mandzukic’s performance and is planning to rope in Aston Villa’s Belgian forward Christian Benteke. Benteke’s future at Villa Park is under scrutiny as several top clubs have shown interest in the striker. The 24-year-old striker is reportedly considering a move […]

A few days back, the English footballer had announced that he will not sign a contract extension with the club. Speculations immediately triggered in the media that Sterling would move out of the club in this summer. Sterling’s present contract expires in 2017. Henry’s ex-club Arsenal FC are one of the strong contenders to bring in the Liverpool youngster this summer. Speaking about the furore in the media about Sterling’s transfer, Thierry Henry opined, “There is one thing I’d say about Raheem Sterling. We all know he’s a Londoner. The way Arsene (Wenger) was talking yesterday indicates he wants him. But there’s something I want to say about the lad. “I think we all know that he’s receiving some bad advice. “You can’t go out there and talk about your contract in the press. I think that you have […]

According to reports, Manchester City midfielder James Milner is set to join Liverpool FC in the summer for a free transfer. James Milner, 29, is running out of contract at the Manchester club by the end of this season. Along with Liverpool, Arsenal were also keen to rope in the English footballer for a free transfer, but now it is believed that Milner has decided to choose The Reds over the Gunners even though they did not qualify for UEFA Champions League next season. The reason behind this decision can be that, Milner wants regular game time which is possible at Liverpool. Arsenal have an array of quality midfielders in their squad and realistically Milner will not get much first team action at the London club. Liverpool, on the other hand, will guarantee him regular football. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers thinks that Milner will perfectly fit into the squad and his seniority will be required in the side in the […]
