Juventus are reportedly in the running for the signature of Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, whose contract is expiring. The German international has been frozen out in the Spanish capital, with the 28-year-old making just three starts this season, despite being an integral part of Germany’s World Cup winning squad. La Repubblica reports that the Bianconeri are ready to offer Khedira an escape route, with the player almost certain to leave when his contract expires this summer. The newspaper believes the Old Lady have made initial contact with Khedira, who currently earns around €5m per season in Spain. As time has gone on during Beppe Marotta’s tenure with Juventus, we’ve come to know that he has an affinity for acquiring good players on free transfers or next-to-nothing prices. Multiple reports claim Juventus have agreed terms with Palermo and Paulo Dybala’s agent for a five-year contract. It’ll be a five-year contract worth €2.2m per season plus performance-related bonuses that would take it to €2.9m. The sum will rise each year until eventually reaching €3m plus bonuses. Key to negotiations was Dybala, who was also wanted by the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City, but insisted he wanted to remain in Italy. That would be a blow to the Premier League giants, with Arsenal in particular strongly linked with Dybala as they look to beef up their attack ahead of an expected title challenge. Dybala is currently tied for seventh in Serie A (with former Juve striker Fabio Quagliarella) with 13 goals this season. He also has 10 assists, playing a role in some shape or form officially in 23 of the 48 goals Palermo have scored in their first season back in Serie A. Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, as […]

Several sources are reporting that Juventus are close to sealing a deal for Palermo’s Paulo Dybala. The 21-year-old has been linked with the Bianconeri for months, Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini has hinted a deal is close, telling Coach Beppe Iachini not to play the forward. Sky is reporting that the Old Lady are very close to agreeing a deal for the Argentinian, and believes that general manager Giuseppe Marotta could seal the deal after the Champions League semi-final second leg. Mediaset is also reporting that a deal is close, and is running with what it purports as details of the agreement. The news outlet states that the Turin giants will pay €25m up front for Dybala, with another €5m in easily-attainable bonuses. Another €5m will be made up by giving players to the Sicilian side, with Edoardo Goldaniga and Eric Lanini the most likely candidates. Mediaset has previously stated that Juventus have agreed a contract with the player, and reiterated […]

Juventus are currently looking to strengthen their attack as they prepare for Carlos Tevez‘s likely return to Boca Juniors in a year’s time and Palermo striker Dybala, who has expressed a desire to stay in Serie A, looks to be their prime target. “We do like Dybala and he is one of our objectives,” Juventus director Beppe Marotta was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I won’t hide the fact that I have met with [Palermo president Maurizio] Zamparini, even if I do go and deny it, he will only blurt it out anyway.”He’s a great player, but alongside him you need experienced players too. We’re trying to find an agreement with Zamparini for this player who we like, but we’re not the only ones who like him. Let’s just see what happens.” Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has said he could sell Paulo Dybala to Juventus, but described the club’s owners as “stingy.” Zamparini said Juve target Dybala, […]

Axel Witsel was in Turin last month for the second leg of Zenit’s Europa League tie with Torino. If Juventus have their way then the Belgium international will return to the city this summer, on a permanent basis. Witsel’s father confirmed that the player will leave Zenit and admitted Juventus are an option, but they haven’t made any decisions.Sky Italia recently reported that Juventus have offered €18 million for Axel Witsel. Although the figure is short of Zenit’s asking price of €30 million yet it is believed that Witsel is a priority signing for the Bianconeri this summer and negotiations will continue. His father’s comments regarding the end of his cycle with the Russian champions only add fuel to the rumors although Juventus are not the only option as stated by Witsel’s camp.
