AC Milan on Tuesday sacked coach Filippo Inzaghi after what has been a bitterly disappointing season, immediately replacing him with Serbian Sinisa Mihajlovic. AC Milan will not compete in Europe next season after finishing down in midtable alongside city rivals Inter, spelling the end for Inzaghi, who failed to lift the club out of the gloom after taking over from former team-mate Clarence Seedorf last season. “AC Milan announces that it has sacked first team coach Filippo Inzaghi, whom it thanks for the work done,” the Serie A giants said in a statement. Former Sampdoria coach Mihajlovic has signed a two-year deal with Milan, the seven-time European champions added. Inzaghi, nicknamed Superpippo, made his name as a player with Milan, scoring 126 goals in 300 games and winning 10 titles including the Champions League twice. AC Milan have decided to part ways with their manager Filippo Inzaghi after a terrible season in the Italian Serie A. Ex-Milan striker who was appointed last season at the helm of affairs will be removed from his position. Media reports in Italy quoted  a club statement which read, “has been informed by the club, with great regret, that there will be a change in coach next season.” Filippo Inzaghi has failed to guide Milan into Europe next season as the Rossoneri finished 10th in this season’s league table. The Serbian is tipped to be the successor of Filippo Inzaghi at AC Milan. Mihajlovic had talks with Milan president Silvio […]

Sampdoria host AC Milan in a battle for European places at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Saturday night. After a positive start to the season, the Rossoneri have stalled in recent games and were comfortably beaten 2-0 at home by Palermo in the last round of fixtures. Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi insists that his side needs time to get things right and calls for supporters to be patient. “It takes patience,” Inzaghi told reporters ahead of his side’s visit to Sampdoria.”It would be nice if we could be perfect right now, but I’m not worrying. Against Palermo we never lacked in desire.” “There are little things we need to improve. There’s been a great reaction, and we’ll use that, starting tomorrow. Tomorrow you’ll see a return to the Milan that we saw only a short time ago.” “At the end of December we’ll look at the table and take stock of the situation. Every possibility is still there for us.The team […]
