Chelsea are linked with £15m CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia. Meanwhile, Arsenal and Liverpool have also been linked to the 26 year old striker. CSKA Moscow have however entered contract negotiations with Doumbia’s agent to shun off increasing interest from these Premier League clubs. Doumbia’s representative Jean Bernard Beytrison said: ‘We are currently in negotiations over a new contract. There is plenty of interest in Seydou from England plus clubs in Spain, Germany and Italy. ‘He is a goalscorer and there aren’t many of them around. However, he is contracted to CSKA and clubs will have to pay their fee.’ Although Doumbia’s contract ends in 2016, the Ivory Coast international would be hoping to switch clubs and ply his trade elsewhere. Meanwhile, CSKA are willing to listen to offers of around £15m but could hold out Doumbia, and press the buyers to pay his buy-out fee which is believed to be around the region of £25m.
