And yet, there are quite a few superstar players who are up for grabs, with multiple clubs vying for their signatures. Here we take a look at some of the most wanted stars that are likely to make a move this summer and speculate on their likely destinations.

Paul Pogba has been heavily linked with Manchester United during the last week amidst reports from Spain suggesting that Real Madrid  have dropped their interest in the Juventus midfielder. Real Madrid have also withdrawn their interest in signing David de Gea from Manchester United and turned their attention towards Hugo Lloris. Julian Draxler has again been linked with Arsenal.

Europe’s Most Wanted Part II: Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, Alvaro Morata & David Alaba

Manchester United vs Chelsea

Eden Hazard, after an impressive display at the Euro 2016, has again been linked with a move out of Stamford Bridge. Real Madrid and PSG remain favorites to land the Chelsea forward. Meanwhile, Real Madrid have also shown interest in Bayern’s David Alaba. Chelsea, on the other hand, are looking to replace Diego Costa, who wants to move back to Atletico, with Real Madrid’s want-away striker Alvaro Morata.

Europe’s Most Wanted Part III: James Rodriguez, Romelu Lukaku, Paulo Dybala & Radja Nainggolan

Roma vs Inter

Chelsea have been in pursuit of Roma’s Radja Nainggolan for some time now and will hope to sign him up as well as bring back their former striker Romelu Lukaku from Everton. A lack of playing time for James Rodriguez means the player is looking for greener pastures while Barcelona are on the hunt for Juventus’ Paulo Dybala.

Europe’s Most Wanted Part IV : Alexandre Lacazette, Philippe Coutinho, N’Golo Kante, Gonzalo Higuain

Both N’Golo Kante and Gozalo Higuain are on the transfer radar of Chelsea, although the latter has been strongly linked with Arsenal. The Gunners are also interested in landing the signature of Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazatte in a bid to shore up their forward options. For Liverpool, however, alarm bells are ringing as Barcelona have identified Philippe Coutinho as one of its forward targets for the coming season

Europe’s Most Wanted Part V: Mario Gotze, Marquinhos, Marco Verratti, Lucas Moura

Manchester United and Liverpool are locked in a battle to sign Lucas Moura from PSG after it emerged that he was growing unhappy at the French club. Jurgen Klopp is also looking to rescue Mario Gotze from Bayern Munich and bring him to Anfield. Meanwhile, Manchester United and Chelsea are vying for the signature of the £60m rated Marco Verratti while the London club are also fighting it out with Barcelona in a bid to sign Marquinhos.
