A late Moise Kean strike sealed all three points for Juventus in their Serie A clash against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium.
Juventus came from behind to register a 2-1 win over Sassuolo in the Serie A with Moise Kean scoring in the 88th minute to secure all three points for the Old Lady. They moved to within one point of third-placed Napoli with the win as the Partenopei lost their most recent league clash against Empoli.
Giacomo Raspadori opened the scoring for Sassuolo in the 38th minute with the home side dominating proceedings. But Paulo Dybala’s strike at the stroke of half-time gave Juventus some respite going into the break.
The Bianconeri could not pose much of a threat after the restart as well with Sassuolo totalling 22 shots, seven of which were on target. Wojciech Szczęsny kept Juventus in the game with multiple saves before Kean scored in the 88th minute to help the visitors go home with all three points.
Sassuolo, who remained at the 10th spot in the league table despite the defeat, will feel hard done by the result as they lost a glorious opportunity to do the double over Massimiliano Allegri’s side in the league this season. Without further ado, here’s how each Juventus player fared in the Serie A encounter.
Wojciech Szczesny: 8/10
The Poland shot-stopper was in supreme form in the game, making six saves to keep Sassuolo down to just one goal. He could have done better to save the home team’s only goal, however, as he was beaten on the near post.
Mattia de Sciglio: 6/10
De Sciglio contributed at both ends of the pitch but also had a tough time defending Giacomo Raspadori. He made four clearances, an interception and a tackle while playing in 13 crosses.
Leonardo Bonucci: 5/10
Sassuolo’s attack made it quite tough for the veteran centre-back as he struggled to command the defence and keep the opponents at bay. He was forced into three clearances and blocked one shot. He didn’t win a single ground or aerial duel.

Daniele Rugani: 4/10
Rugani spent a tough 55 minutes on the pitch before he was taken off for Giorgio Chiellini to help Juventus shore up their defence. He made two clearances, blocked one shot and completed one tackle. He was utterly dominated by the Sassuolo attack.
Alex Sandro: 6/10
The Juventus left-back, like most of his defensive partners, struggled to leave any kind of imprint on the game as they were pushed on the backfoot by the home team. Sandro, however, set up Kean’s goal to make up for any shortcomings in the match.
Federico Bernardeschi: 5/10
Bernardeschi didn’t do much to affect the proceedings, managing just 35 touches of the ball. He was enterprising with his dribbling, however, but couldn’t complete a majority of them. The Italian international was taken off for Fabio Miretti, a minute after which Kean scored the winner.

Zakaria looked solid in the middle of the park but was a tad too loose on the ball. He lost possession of the ball 12 times, giving Sassuolo space between lines, and completed just 77% of his passes. Defensively, he made three clearances, four interceptions, blocked one shot and completed one tackle. He assisted Dybala’s goal just before half-time.
Danilo: 6/10
Danilo was often sent on the backfoot by Raspadori and was guilty of not doing enough to stop the Sassuolo attacker. Otherwise, he had a decent outing in an unfamiliar position. He won three ground duels, made one clearance, blocked four shots, made one interception and completed two tackles.
Adrien Rabiot: 5/10
Rabiot didn’t have the best of outings as he struggled to create much for his attackers and gave the ball away cheaply. He took one shot on target and played a key pass, but there wasn’t much else to show for.
Paulo Dybala: 7/10

Dybala scored the crucial first goal for Juventus at the stroke of half-time. He struggled with his passing, completing just 67% of them and was taken off for Vlahovic ten minutes into the second half but his goal provided the platform for Juve to secure a comeback win.
Alvaro Morata: 6/10
Morata was quite busy for Juventus high up the field. He won six of his eight ground duels and took four shots and was unlucky to not get on the scoresheet. He was taken off for Kean in the 67th minute.

Giorgio Chiellini: 6/10
Chiellini did well to ensure that Juventus don’t concede after he came on in the 55th minute. Made four clearances and two interceptions.
Dusan Vlahovic: 4/10
Vlahovic struggled to get going after coming on for Dybala in the 55th minute. Made just 12 touches of the ball and failed to take a shot.

Kean’s piercing run to score the winner for Juventus deserves all the plaudits. He also completed 100% of his passes in a brief stay on the pitch.
