Alexis Sanchez was once again the talk of the town amongst the Arsenal faithful as he put up another superb shift to guide his side to a 3-1 win against Bournemouth in an entertaining game at the Emirates.

The Gunners haven’t exactly suffered the effects of a supposed ‘November curse’ but with Arsene Wenger’s side failing to take the initiative in a number of big games during the month, the mood around the Emirates was understandably nervous when the two teams took to the field. Bournemouth arrived at the back of a 1-0 victory over Stoke City while Arsenal hadn’t won in any competition since overcoming Ludogorets in the Champions League.

Alexis Sanchez helped settle any nerves with a superlative performance that once again took the cake in a clinical display from the Gunners. The Chilean gave his side the lead in just the 12th minute as he took advantage of a catastrophic back-pass from Steve Cook. Callum Wilson soon leveled the affair for the Cherries after he neatly slotted in a penalty to enable his side to score their first ever goal in the Premier League against the North-Londoners.

Bournemouth weren’t a side bogged down by Arsenal’s superior quality and put up a fascinating fight that kept fans in witness at the edge of their seats. However, the gulf in class proved to be too much for Eddie Howe’s team as the Gunners went ahead once more through in-form man Theo Walcott before Olivier Giroud set up Sanchez for his second of the evening to effectively seal the points.

Giroud has been brilliant coming off the bench for Arsenal off-late and with him getting involved in yet another goal with an assist for Sanchez’s second, he accrued some much deserved praise from fans on social media.
