Real Madrid were in murderous goal-scoring form as they smashed 7 past Cultural Leonesa from the third tier in the first leg of their Copa Del Rey round of 32 tie.

It was a stroll in the park for Real Madrid at the Estadio Reino De Leon as they comfortably ended any tiny hopes of a Cultural Leonesa upset with a 7-1 demolition. The win means the Los Blancos are now 25 games unbeaten and are the only side in all of Europe’s Top 5 Leagues yet to lose a game this campaign.

The second string line-up did an emphatic job for Zidane as youngsters Alvaro Morata and Marco Asensio scored braces alongside goals from Mariano Diaz and Nacho Fernandez to give their side a comfortable lead going into second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu in December.

Marco Asensio has shown a lot of promise this season and he could well be lined up for bigger things in the months and years to come. Having scored in his La Liga and Champions League debuts, the youngster scored in his first appearance in the Copa Del Rey as well.

Alvaro Morata continued to endear himself to the Madridistas with some great performances since his return to the club from Juventus over the summer. He did well to stake his claim for a starting place in the future, even if it meant possibly benching someone like Karim Benzema.

However, the goal of the night undoubtedly went to Nacho Fernandez, who scored a Zidane-esque volley in the 68th minute to make it 6-0 for the Los Blancos. The Spaniard’s incredible scissor kick left James Rodriguez and boss Zinedine Zidane lost for words as even the crowd could do little but applaud the 26-year-old’s incredible effort.
