Manchester United put in a woeful performance against minnows Fenerbahce in their Europa League group stage clash. Left-back Luke Shaw was singled out for criticism after the game, with many questioning his fitness.
It was an all round poor performance from Jose Mourinho’s men against Fenerbahce. A late goal from Wayne Rooney was the only consolation for United, as they failed to pose any sort of attacking threat to the Turks. The 2-1 loss leaves them third in their group, with a big chance of crashing out in the group stage of the Europa League.
While a lot of the criticism was directed at striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, young English defender Luke Shaw was also found wanting. The full-back looked very poor against Fenerbahce and Manchester United fans raised concerns about his match fitness, calling him overweight.
