Liverpool charged ahead on the Premier League table with a 3-0 win over Huddersfield, with all the three goals coming in the second half of the game.

Liverpool came into the match frustrated with a lack of positive results and a flaccid backline. And they were up against a manager who knew how Jurgen Klopp better than the rest. The two sides went into the break level at 0-0, with gloom the emotional status surrounding Anfield.

However, as the second half started, Liverpool seemed like a completely different team as goals from Daniel Sturridge, Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino made sure Klopp registered a win over his former understudy.

Fans were pleased with the increased level of performance after the break and some chalked it down to Jurgen Klopp’s half-time tactical changes and overall talk.

There was also the curious case of Mohamed Salah taking the penalty, which was ultimately saved, instead of James Milner, who has been the staple penalty taker for Liverpool and also boasts an impressive record.
