Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for ‘best player’ Mohamed Salah after the Egyptian’s sensational strike against Manchester City on Sunday.

The weekend produced one of the best Premier League games of the season as Liverpool and Manchester City entertained the audiences with a thrilling 2-2 draw. Phil Foden was the visitors’ best player, but Reds star Mohamed Salah stole the spotlight.

Salah helped open the scoring by slipping a through ball to Sadio Mane, who made no mistake in slotting it past Ederson. Later, with the scores tied at 1-1, the Egyptian produced one of the goals of the season by beating at least two Manchester City players, then wrong footing Aymeric Laporte to give Liverpool the lead.

The goal could have won the Reds all three points, only for Kevin De Bruyne to spoil the party with a late equaliser. However, the Salah strike was watched by audiences across the globe through social media, as the Egyptian produced one of the best individual displays of his Liverpool career.

Salah himself was pleased with the strike after reportedly watching the clip after the game. The forward received widespread praise from all over the media and fans on social platforms. It was his 9th goal in as many games in all competitions while providing three assists to aid his cause.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was elated with the Liverpool talisman’s performance and heaped massive praise on the wonder strike itself. The German tactician mentioned that people would probably remember this goal for a long time, maybe decades from now. Transfer Market Web posted some of the quotes.

Klopp commented, “Only the best players in the world score goals like this. It was the first touch, the first challenge he wins, then going there and putting it on his right foot and finishing the situation off like he did. Absolutely exceptional. Because this club never forgets anything, people will talk about this goal for a long, long time in 50, 60 years still when they remember this game.”

Salah has indeed been in tremendous form early in the 2021/22 season and he is arguably one of the three best players in the world right now, which seems to be the consensus among pundits and fans alike. His form will continue to be crucial if Liverpool are to win any silverware this season.
