Paul Robinson is convinced Jude Bellingham will fit in perfectly at Liverpool, claiming he could play in midfield or even as part of the front three.

Liverpool saw their unbeaten run in the league end after West Ham United put in a tremendous performance at the London stadium. The loss should only be considered a minor setback in the long run as the club sit in a commanding position on the table, and they have done so without some influential midfield stars.

Naby Keita has been missing for the Reds since their win at Old Trafford, while they didn’t use the previous transfer market to bring in a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum.

They do look a complete side at the moment, with quality cover in every possible position in the squad. However, there are talks of a sensational move for the England international Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, possibly next summer, who looks like a good fit in Jurgen Klopp’s system from the outside.

Recent claims suggested that Bellingham was keen on a move himself, which he has since dismissed. There haven’t been any reported contacts between Liverpool and Dortmund either. With his contract at the German side lasting until 2025, Dortmund will not be open to a sale unless the Reds offer an astronomical transfer fee.

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson remains convinced, the midfielder could be the perfect player to grace the Anfield pitch and fit in Liverpool’s system. Speaking to Football Insider, Robinson claimed Bellingham would be an even better player than Jadon Sancho, who moved to Manchester United in a £73 million move from Dortmund.

Robinson said, “He is already a top-class player at 18. He’s going to be better than Sancho coming out of the Bundesliga as well. The way that Liverpool play, he could fit perfectly into their system. The way Klopp plays and what he asks of his players, it would be a great fit.

“Bellingham could play in that front three, or he could play in behind that front three. I have been so impressed with him this season. He is direct, he is not afraid to run at defenders, and he also has great game management. You can tell he is knowledgeable about the game. He knows the right time to pass the ball. The way that Liverpool play, he would fit perfectly into that team.”
