Gabriel Agbonlahor believes Harry Kane could force a move out of Tottenham in January, stating the striker does not look happy in north London.

The Harry Kane saga might have taken a break since the summer window slammed shut. Rumours are beginning to circulate now that we are approaching January, with all sorts of suggestions coming across through the media. At the same time, the Tottenham striker might have been disappointed to miss out on the move to Manchester City while looking unsettled in north London.

Tottenham certainly may not allow Kane to move clubs in the January transfer window, for the exorbitant asking price they may demand might prove problematic for suitors. There are not many interested parties at this moment, given his dip in form, despite scoring his first league goal earlier this month.

Secondly, Tottenham may not disrupt their squad harmony by selling someone like Kane in the January window. The striker was keen on joining Manchester City in the summer, but Spurs held their ground to keep hold of him. This stance might change next summer, but until then, things are expected to remain unchanged.

Recent reports suggest Manchester City may not prioritise his signing anymore, with Erling Haaland the latest player to feature on their radar. Real Madrid are rumoured to be interested, but with Kylian Mbappe and Haaland being their priority, it is not easy to see a move for Kane materialising.

However, Gabriel Agbonlahor is adamant that Kane would force a move through in January to seek a fresh challenge away from Tottenham. Speaking to Football Insider, the former Aston Villa striker believes the England captain does not look happy at Tottenham and may want to move clubs in the winter window.

Agbonlahor said, “He showed glimpses [of quality] against West Ham. But he looks like a player that probably is still sulking. When you see a club that you could have played for battering teams, scoring goals without a striker. It’s like being teased watching Man City every week.”

“He’s definitely going to be pushing for a move in January, and if he doesn’t get one in the summer too. I think every transfer window until the end of his contract; he’s going to be pushing for a move. He doesn’t look like a player that wants to be at the club he’s playing for, Spurs.”

Whether Kane is actually unsettled at Tottenham remains a mystery. However, he does look out of sorts in north London at the moment, and it remains to be seen if he indeed looks to force a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this coming winter.
