Luis Suarez and Junior Firpo were on the scoresheet as ten-man Barcelona grabbed their first away win of the season, beating Getafe 2-0 at Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

The first half saw chances coming at a premium, until Luis Suarez sparked the game into life in the 41st minute, lobbing the ball over David Soria after being found by a long ball by Marc-Andre ter Stegen.  Barcelona were two to the good mere minutes into the second half, with Junior Firpo scoring his first goal for the Blaugrana, after Soria had spilled the ball from Carles Perez’s strike.

The visitors, though, were in for a tough last ten minutes after Clement Lenglet was sent off for a second bookable offence. But, Barcelona saw the game out in a professional manner to win on the road for the first time this season. And, fans were all praises for Suarez for putting the La Liga champions on course for the victory.

Frenkie de Jong was also lauded for a performance in which he thoroughly dominated the midfield battle and showed that he is finally starting to settle at Barcelona.

But, the toast of the Barcelona fans was Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who was colossal in goal and also grabbed an assist for Suarez’s goal.
