Gary Neville feels Harry Kane’s spell at Tottenham Hotspur is all but over and the England striker could soon join Manchester City.

Speaking to Sky Sports recently, Manchester United legend Gary Neville has offered his thoughts on the transfer saga of Harry Kane. The former defender believes that the forward could soon be on the move and Tottenham Hotspur will not be able to prevent him from leaving the club.

Kane has been the focal point of the English market this summer, with the highly-rated striker supposedly unhappy at Spurs due to the club’s lack of success. He had earlier made quite a scene by returning to training late, causing pundits to speculate about his future.

Manchester City have emerged as the most likely suitor for Harry Kane. Recent reports even suggest that the Premier League champions are prepared to fork out €150 million to secure the services of the England international this summer.

Tottenham, though, remain confident that they can keep hold of their star player and are even eyeing a move for Patrick Bamford as a potential backup.

However, Manchester United legend Gary Neville feels the fate of the striker has already been sealed. Express has recently published his quotes during a recent segment with Sky Sports when the former English footballer claims that he is convinced Kane will leave Spurs this summer.

“I just read into the fact that every other England player that’s been part of the Euros has been involved this weekend either on the bench or in the squad,” the former Manchester United defender said on Sky Sports.

“Harry Kane would be here today I feel if there was no doubt over his future. I took into it that he’s gone, I just felt him not being visible in the stadium; the most prominent Tottenham player, first game of the season not being visible in this stadium? We have a lot of cameras around and I suspect we were looking for him everywhere.”

“To not see him here today was a surprise. There are no Premier League games this week and there is five or six days to do something. I do believe that to me told me he’s gone with him not being on the bench. I might be completely wrong and two weeks’s time I’ll be delighted to come here and watch him for Tottenham.”

“But every other England player has been involved. Sancho was on the bench yesterday, Kalvin Phillips was on the bench. They’ve all had very limited time for training, but at the very least they’ve been on the bench and Harry Kane ordinarily would be,” Neville added.

Fortunately for Tottenham, they didn’t require the services of Kane in their opening Premier League fixture as heroic performances from Son Heung-Min and a few of the defenders helped them seal a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Manchester City, which would certainly serve as a statement of intent from the north London giants.
