Eden Hazard has ruled out the possibility of leaving Real Madrid in the summer transfer window as he wishes to prove himself in Spain.

Speaking to Het Laatste Nieuws, as relayed by GOAL, Real Madrid superstar Eden Hazard has claimed that he will not be leaving the club in the summer transfer window and is determined to come good for the La Liga champions.

Hazard signed for Real Madrid in the summer of 2019, completing a dream move from Chelsea. However, his time at the Santiago Bernabeu has been nothing short of a disaster. Ever since he arrived, the Belgian international has been plagued with fitness and injury problems, which have hampered him from putting on his best show.

Even when fit, Hazard has failed to hit the heights that he did at Chelsea, resulting in him being reduced to a bit-part player at the Santiago Bernabeu. To date, the 31-year-old has played just 66 times for Los Blancos in nearly three years, producing a paltry return of six goals and ten assists.

The 2021/22 campaign has been no different for Hazard as he has struggled with injuries yet again, which restricted him to just 23 appearances across all competitions. The winger has returned to fitness ahead of Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool this weekend and is hoping to help his team win the competition.

“I am ready just in time to play a part in the Champions League final. I didn’t want to go too fast like last time. The coach understood my situation, as did the medical staff. We have worked well. Now I feel really good,” Hazard said.

On top of that, Hazard has vowed that he will come good at Real Madrid next season, effectively ruling out an exit in the summer transfer window. “The coach knows that I still have a contract until 2024. My first three seasons at Real have not gone well. So I want to show everyone what I can do. Starting with this Saturday. It has always been a dream to play for Real. It still is,” the Belgian superstar added.

Hazard’s statements come after manager Carlo Ancelotti also seemed to rule out an exit for the 31-year-old former Chelsea superstar. So, as things stand, all signs point towards the winger continuing at Real Madrid, as fans will hope that the superstar will finally come good after three years filled with struggle.
