Cristiano Ronaldo insists he rejoined Manchester United to win titles and take the club to the next level, suggesting he could play for another 3-4 years.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United have become a major talking point for Ex-United players and many pundits alike. While most believe the Portuguese will bring back success to OId Trafford, others remain unconvinced by the signing.

Ronaldo has enjoyed a stellar career at Manchester United, Real Madrid and later with Juventus, winning titles with amazing regularity. He is backed to continue that run in the Premier League once more and make Man United title contenders.

Questions are asked regarding his output at such an advanced age while also casting doubts whether he could cope up with the speed of the league here. Dimitar Berbatov, for instance, raised concerns if Ronaldo might affect the playing time of other attackers at the club while believing the Portuguese remains capable of winning titles at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo has spoken to Manchester United’s official site for the first time since re-signing with the club. The Portuguese tried to cover plenty of things but focused mainly on his promise to deliver trophies during his stay, while he reckons to play for another 3-4 years, despite being 36 years old.

The Manchester Evening News posted comments from Ronaldo where he promised the club’s supporters to bring back success and trophies during his time.

Ronaldo said, “This is why I am here. I am not here for a vacation. As I told you, before was good, winning important things and I wore the shirt before many years ago, but I am here to win again.

“I am capable, me and my team-mates. I am ready to go; I am ready to go. It is a good chance for me, the supporters, and the club, to get one step ahead. I am ready, and I think I will be a huge thing in the next three or four years.”

Will Ronaldo deliver on his promise to the supporters and bring the Premier League title back to Old Trafford? His recent track record certainly will suggest the same, but fans will be curious to watch the impact he could still have at such an advanced age despite Ronaldo’s confidence in what he says.
