Vinicius Jr. has received words of praise from Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti as well as teammate Karim Benzema following a strong start to the season.

As quoted by Transfer Market Web, Vinicius Jr. seems to have impressed not just manager Carlo Ancelotti but also fellow Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema after making a stunning start to the 2021/22 season, with the duo iterating that he is playing at a very high level right now.

Vinicius Jr. joined Real Madrid from Flamengo in the summer of 2018 and has since gone on to become a key member of the first-team setup at the club. Initially assigned to the Castilla side, the Brazilian forward did not take long to make an impression for the senior side, with Los Blancos in all sorts of trouble in the 2018/19 season.

Under the tutelage of Zinedine Zidane, the 21-year-old progressed further but also had the tendency to frustrate a lot due to a lot of profligacy in front of goal. 2020/21 was also a season wherein he blew hot and cold, which paved the way for some speculation surrounding him in the summer transfer window.

However, Vinicius impressed Carlo Ancelotti as soon as he first took charge of Real Madrid, which has helped him go back up the pecking order. And he has repaid the faith shown by the Italian tactician by making a superb start to the season, with four goals and an assist in four games so far.

Now, Ancelotti himself has come out with words of praise for the Brazilian forward, with the Real Madrid boss iterating just how confident he is right now in a conversation with the press, as quoted by Transfer Market Web.

Ancelotti said, “He has been playing very well. He is at a very high level right now. His quality is impressive. He has been doing very well in the beginning of the season and he has to keep it up. He is full of confidence and is very composed and calm in front of the goal.”

However, it is not just Ancelotti, but also Karim Benzema who has hailed Vinicius, with the Real Madrid talisman saying, “He’s a phenomenon, he’s young and I really enjoy talking and playing with him. He has shown that he can play for this team.”

Vinicius has already put in quite a few memorable performance in the first month of the new season, with the most clutch being his display against Levante. It will now be interesting to see if he can continue to make a mark in the same vein as he has so far as 2021/22 progresses. As things stand, he is certainly establishing himself as a key player for Real Madrid.
