Christian Pulisic was the hat-trick hero for Chelsea as they survived a late scare to beat Burnley 4-2 at Turf Moor on Saturday evening.

Burnley were the more dominant of the two sides in the first half. But, Chelsea capitalised on a couple of errors to grab a two-goal lead ahead of half-time, with Christian Pulisic on target on each occasion. Post the interval, the Blues put the game to bed, with Pulisic completing his hat-trick.

Having scored with his left foot and right in the first half, the headed effort from Mason Mount’s cross made it a perfect hat-trick for the summer arrival. Willian was then on target in the 58th minute to make it 4-0. Burnley pulled two goals back late on through Jay Rodriguez and Dwight McNeil, but it was too little too late. Unsurprisingly, Pulisic was the toast of the Chelsea fans post the game.

The result meant Chelsea have now won seven games in a row across all competitions, and fans hailed Frank Lampard in the aftermath of the game.
